Hello, everyone!
My name is Lara Piscarreta, I'm Portuguese, but I'm currently living in Germany, where I am an IMPRS PhD student at ESO Garching.
I did both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Physics with a specialization in Astrophysics and Cosmology at Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal. Before starting my PhD, I had a 9-month research experience at ICE-CSIC, Barcelona, Spain.
My research interests include accretion processes in young stellar objects, protoplanetary disc evolution, and the characterization of brown dwarfs and planetary-mass objects, with a strong focus on the reduction and analysis of large spectroscopic datasets.
Currently, I am focusing on pre-main-sequence stars and their discs under the supervision of Dr. Giacomo Beccari.
